If you have a car, you know it has a lot of responsibilities. There are special taxes that you have to pay, and you have to make sure that your car is in good condition to go on the road. Check the tire pressure, change the oil and also take it to the garage for a regular inspection. These are all the basics of car care, but what do you know about car cleaning? Both inside and out we can clean well from time to time and that’s where we get into it. With these seven amazing tricks, your car will shine like never before!
1. Headlight cleaning
After a while, your headlights will probably start to look a little dull and dirty. Fortunately, they are easy to clean with a little whitening paste. Just take a tube and apply toothpaste on the headlights, covering them completely. Just use your fingers or hands for it. Leave to stand for about 15 minutes. Take an old toothbrush and start rubbing the headlights. You will notice that the toothpaste turns brown due to all the dirt in the glass. 2. Make your own cleaner
You can very easily make your own wiper to clean car upholstery. Prepare a spray bottle and funnel. Fill the bottle with 120 ml of vinegar, 240 ml of soda and 60 ml of lemon juice. Shake the bottle and apply the surface you want to clean. This DIY cleaner works great on fabric upholstery. Apart from the fact that the upholstery will be super clean, your car will also have an amazing smell. Spray the mixture on the upholstery and use a stiff bristle brush to clean it. Wipe off excess dirt and grime with a damp cloth afterwards. This method also works well on carpets.
3. Remove scratches
This method only works for scratches on the surface, which mainly consist of dirt, because it is necessary to contact an expert to correct deeper scratches. To clean scratches on the surface, pour acetone-free nail polish remover on a microfiber cloth and rub the scratches.
4. Pack the car
We store all kinds of garbage in the car. Jump cables, ice scrapers, water bottles, gym shoes and many other random things. Even if you are not an organizational talent, it would be wise to try to clean the car at least once every six months. Throw out the trash and remove all the things you really don’t need from the car.
To help you get organized, we have a great trick for you. Buy a hanging shoe organizer (as shown in the picture) and cut the lower half. Hang it on the back of the rear seat so that it hangs in the trunk. Use hooks and two pieces of string. Put everything you need in the car, such as an ice scraper, jump cables and an extra pair of shoes. That way, your car won’t become a big mess while driving, and it will also save luggage space that can actually take time.
Has any oil from your car penetrated the garage or garage floor? Do not worry! Just take a can of Coca-Cola and pour the stain over it. Pour enough to completely cover with liquid. Wait about 15 minutes and rub the oil off the floor with a stiff bristle brush. Clean the coke and wash the floor with water. You may be wondering how it works. Why can you clean the oil with soda? Well, Coca-Cola contains carbonic acid and other acids that remove stains from stone or concrete oil.
6. Parking assistance
Do you only have a small garage and are afraid of scratches or car damage by driving too close to the wall? You can easily create cheap and cheap parking help! You don’t need any sophisticated technology in the car. Drive carefully in your garage until you find it in the right place. Take a tennis ball and cut the cross with a sharp knife. Attach the nut to the wire and push the nut onto the tennis ball. Hang the rope from the ceiling so that the tennis ball touches the windshield of your car when properly parked. The next time you park, you’ll know it’s time to brake when a tennis ball hits your windshield.
